There are 5 figures of the beautiful dolls with the scenes from the famous Russian fairy tale in the nest.
Once upon a time there lived an old man and woman who had always regretted that they did not have any children. One lovely winter day they made a girl out of snow. The snow maiden came alive and became the daughter they never had. They called her Snegurochka. She was very beautiful and sweet. But when spring began to warm the land, the girl became quite depressed. When the summer arrived, she became even more sad. Once she went to the wood with a group of village girls to pick flowers. She had a good time for the first time since the winter. It began to get dark and the other girls made a fire and began playfully jumping over the flames. Snegurochka also jumped, but suddenly melted and evaporated into a white cloud.
All of the girl are wearing in the traditional Russian clothes - sarafans (women's dress) and blouses richly decorated with embroidered patterns, headscarves on the heads which always were a real work of art and it was shown by artist. The artist has painted each face with extreme life-like detail and expression.
In work the artists used tempera with egg emulsion and fine polecat brushes. Very rich and bright paints including gold ("patal") are used. All the drawings of this item are made by the real artist so delicate and subtle, that as a whole the doll is just breathtaking! Everything is shining and sparkling.
Egg-tempera paint is the primary medium used to paint the composition on this doll. The palette is full of colors that are bright and vibrant. All aspects of the scene are intricately detailed with fine lines created with precise brushwork. Gold and aluminum paints are also used to add even more detail. There is a great sense of balance and linear flow in these compositions.
